The production of Tapestry (Tapestry Bar):

To prepare Tapestry tape, silver with 99.9% purity is melted in kiln and poured in 30 cm long and 5 mm thick casting mold to get cold and get the shape of the mold.

Next, the silver piece is laid on the anvil and by using hammer it becomes a four-sided rod. Then it is heated with a flame to become soft and flexible. Then it passes through the rolling machine to make thin wires.

Again the thin wire is heated in the furnace and placed into the wax until it is ready for wiredraw.

For threading, the silver wires are passed through the large holes first in the screw plate and then smaller holes. Finally, the wire passes through the smallest hole die and the wire is very thin and delicate, with a uniform diameter of No. 25, achieved.
Two threads of thin wires are twisted together to make a two-ply wire.

The steps of making filigree:

The steps of making
filigree: First, choose a rectangular plate, usually made of iron, and get one side of it completely waxed. Cut out the template of the desired product and place it on the iron plate. By using the silver wall strip which is thicker than the tapestry wire, cover around the template wall to make the outer shape of the design and place it in the wax. After this step, by using other silver wall strips, divide the whole design to smaller areas. And fill each section with the already prepared small filigree figures made by hand and tweezers.

In the final step, bind together the small figures with very fine iron wires, to avoid pieces movement and separation. After melting the wax, the filigree skeleton will come off the iron plate.

Once all the pieces were connected by soldering, the steel wires are removed.
Now that the model is almost ready, put it in a dilute solution of sulfuric acid to remove any spots on the silver. Then it is cleaned by a fine wire brush.!!
